Meet Angela Maxson, DO

Program Resident

Kristina Bowen Updated

Bio:

Dr. Maxson knew very little about the community prior to moving to Yakima for medical school. At PNWU, she realized the potential to rekindle that beloved connection that she had previously created with the Latin population through work, study, and travel.

Dr. Maxson thought that her stay would be temporary, and she is now nearing the end of her sixth year living in Yakima. Now, she considers Yakima home and intends to stay long term.

For this reason, Dr. Maxson believes that it is her responsibility to broaden her skillset so that she can provide the most comprehensive, patient focused care to those living in the Valley.

As a second-year family medicine resident with Central Washington Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Maxson is proud to be selected for and to participate in the LIDERES program because she aims to better serve patients in the language of their choice.

She looks forward to expanding her Spanish (medical) vocabulary and to learning more about the customs and traditions of our patients. Dr. Maxson’s hope is to provide patient visits that are productive yet embracing. Thank you for your support in this journey!
