Medical School: St. George’s University

Philosophy of Care: I believe health care is more than just giving medications; it involves looking at the overall person to take into consideration their psycho-social needs along with their physical needs. Excellent communication plays an important role in this. I hope my patients will see me as more than their physician but as their advocate and their counselor who will work with them in order to together improve their quality of life. I want to educate my patients in order to give them tools so they can feel empowered to take care of their health.

Medical Interests: geriatrics, preventative medicine, OB/gyn

Why Yakima: I was impressed with how friendly and open everyone was. I loved seeing the rapport among the residents and faculty; the family atmosphere drew me in. I loved how CWFMR was dedicated to serving the under-served and training well rounded family medicine physicians. And the opportunity to live in a beautiful valley with breath taking views two hours away from my family doesn’t hurt either 🙂

Personal Interest / Hobbies: I love hiking, spending time with my family, watching / playing basketball, and finding new coffee shops and places to eat. My soon to be husband is teaching me how to be a foodie.
